Program Overview
The M.S. program is a research-oriented Master’s program focusing on independent research under faculty guidance with thesis requirement.

Program Structure
Research Guide/Advisor
The research guide is assigned to each student based on research area and mutual preferences of the student and faculty. Students are expected to maintain regular meetings with their research guide throughout the program.
General Test Committee (GTC)
Each student's GTC consists of:
- Head of Department (HoD) or HoD's nominee
- Research Guide
- One department faculty member
- One faculty member from outside the department
Academic Requirements
Coursework
- ID 6020: Introduction to Research (Mandatory)
- Five additional courses recommended by GTC
Research
All students are expected to conduct high-quality research resulting in publications in reputed international journals.

Financial Support
Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA)
All HTRA recipients are expected to work as research or teaching assistants. The faculty in-charge must certify this each month for HTRA release.
Conference Travel Funding
- Institute Support: Two national conferences per year + one international conference

Career Support
Placement Assistance
The Placement Office provides support in finding employment opportunities. M.S. students typically:
- Participate in placement interviews coordinated by the Placement Office
- Apply for positions outside the formal placement process
- Pursue academic and research positions based on their specialization
