Dr. Pravin Nair

Biography

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Prior to this, I worked as Senior Chief Engineer in Samsung Research Institute, Bengaluru, where I was leading projects in AI Video Processing Lab. I obtained my doctorate and masters from Indian Institute of Science under guidance of Prof. Kunal Narayan Chaudhury
My research focuses on the development of both traditional and deep learning-based algorithms to tackle imaging inverse problems, including deblurring, denoising, and super-resolution for both images and videos. Specifically, my goal is to create high-quality iterative optimization-based or deep learning-based solutions that operate efficiently within computational and power constraints.
